And here's another photography competition to try out for. Life Framer are running the competition, asking for photographs to be submitted along the theme of 'An instant'. Winners get their photos printed framed and exhibited in a London gallery and win $400, so can't all be bad eh.
 
Well, if you fancy having a good look at what's going on on Mars you can't go wrong by checking out Andrew Bodrov's panoramic photo. It's the result of stitching together 295 individual photographs from 2 separate cameras. A truly impressive accomplishment.

World press photo has recently published the 2013 photo contest winners. Some amazing photos and well worth a look.

The contest itself has been running for a staggering 55 years, and is a an excellent example of photojournalism at its very best. All the photos that win will tell a story and are always stunning examples of great photography as well as being thought provoking.


 
Well worth a look is Matthew Albanese's work titled Strange Worlds. Browsing through his impressive photo collection you could easily be mistaken that these are actual locations rather than tiny sets created in a photography studio. Truly breathtaking.
